Euro Floorsanding Pty Ltd is an established floor sanding and polishing business based in Sydney. Due to continued growth, we are expanding our team and have a full-time position available for a Timber Floor Installer.
The successful applicant will work across a range of residential and commercial projects, delivering high-quality timber floor installation, restoration and finishing work to our clients. Top quality workmanship is a must.
Duties include:
Sanding, staining and polishing timber floors to a high standard of finish.
· Measuring work areas and consulting plans to estimate materials required for each job.
· Preparing floor surfaces prior to installation, including removing existing coverings, baseboard trims and adhesive residues.
· Measuring, cutting and fixing underlay materials.
· Laying and installing timber floor coverings, including matching patterns, cutting shapes around fixtures and trimming edges.
· Securing floor coverings and fitting edge trims in doorways.
· Applying finishing coatings, sealants and other finishing products to timber floors.
· Repairing and restoring damaged timber flooring surfaces.
· Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets customer specifications and quality standards.
· Cleaning up work areas on completion of each job.
· Maintaining tools and equipment and complying with workplace health and safety requirements at all times.
· Some prior experience in timber flooring, floor finishing or a related construction trade is preferred, however on-the-job training will be provided to the right applicant.
· Dedication to producing quality work and a willingness to learn new skills.
· Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
· Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team.
· Valid Australian working rights.
· Current driver's licence preferred.
