Disability Support Worker – Mungindi QLD
-Monday, Wednesday & Friday | Regular Ongoing Shifts | Minimum 3-Hour Payment
Assigned Guardian Angel is seeking a compassionate, reliable and energetic Disability Support Worker to provide one-on-one support to a participant in Mungindi, QLD.
This is a great opportunity for a Support Worker in Mungindi or the surrounding area who is looking for consistent weekday work and enjoys providing personalised support that promotes independence and community participation.

Current Support ScheduleMonday – Home Exercise Program
- Approximately 1 hour of direct support
- Assistance with completion of the participant's home exercise program
- Minimum 3 hours paid
Wednesday – Physiotherapy
- Approximately 4.5 hours of support
- Supporting the participant to attend a physiotherapy appointment
- 4.5 hours paid
Friday – Home Exercise Program
- Approximately 1 hour of direct support
- Assistance with completion of the participant's home exercise program
- Minimum 3 hours paid
Total: Approximately 10.5 paid hours per week
Please note: Although Monday and Friday currently require approximately 1 hour of direct participant support, the successful Support Worker will be paid for a minimum of 3 hours for each of these shifts.
About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide reliable and person-centred support within the participant's home and community.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting the participant with their prescribed home exercise program
- Supporting attendance at physiotherapy and other appointments
- Assisting with personal care and daily living activities where required
- Providing safe manual handling and mobility assistance
- Supporting community access and social participation
- Encouraging independence and confidence
- Providing companionship and positive social interaction
- Maintaining professional communication with the participant, family and AGA team
- Completing relevant shift documentation and progress notes
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Reliable and committed to regular Monday, Wednesday and Friday shifts
- Friendly, patient and encouraging
- Comfortable providing personal care where required
- Confident supporting a participant with mobility needs
- Experienced with manual handling or willing to undertake appropriate training
- Able to build positive and respectful rapport
- Professional and an effective communicator
- Passionate about helping people maintain their independence and quality of life
Requirements
Applicants should have, or be willing to obtain where applicable:
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Current driver's licence
- Reliable vehicle for community access
- Previous disability or support work experience is highly regarded
- Manual handling experience or training is desirable
