Scoop It Up – Dog Waste Removal & Yard Care
Location: Sydney
Job Type: Part-Time, 12–15 hours per week
Days: 2–3 days per week
Potential: Opportunity to progress into full-time employment
About Scoop It Up
Scoop It Up is a growing dog waste removal business servicing customers across South West Sydney. We provide professional, reliable and friendly yard-cleaning services to busy dog owners.
We're looking for a reliable, physically fit and hardworking person who genuinely loves dogs to join our team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to start part-time and grow with the business into a full-time position as our customer base and service routes continue to expand.
About the Role
As a Pooper Scooper Technician, you'll travel between customers' homes following a scheduled route and provide a professional yard-cleaning service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning dog waste from residential yards
- Travelling between multiple customer homes throughout the day
- Following a schedule that can vary from week to week
- Communicating with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Applying deodoriser and sanitiser treatments to yards
- Carrying and using a 10L backpack sprayer at some yards throughout the day
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and service
- Safely handling equipment and waste
- Representing Scoop It Up professionally while working in customers' homes and yards
What the Job Looks Like
As our routes continue to fill, a full day can involve servicing approximately 30 residential yards in a day.
This means the role involves a significant amount of:
- Walking
- Bending and squatting
- Repetitive physical work
- Carrying equipment
- Working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Getting in and out of a vehicle frequently
- Working efficiently to stay on schedule
This is not a desk job and is physically demanding. You need to be comfortable being active for most of your shift.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
- Love dogs and be comfortable around dogs of all sizes and personalities
- Be physically fit and capable of performing repetitive outdoor work
- Confident driver
- Be reliable and punctual
- Have a strong work ethic and take pride in their work
- Be comfortable working independently
- Communicate professionally and confidently with customers
- Be comfortable using a 10L backpack sprayer
- Have good attention to detail
- Be able to follow a schedule and manage their time effectively
- Have a current driver's licence
- Have reliable transport
- Be comfortable working outdoors in hot, cold and wet weather
- Be looking for an opportunity that can eventually become full-time
The Opportunity
The position will initially be 12–15 hours per week across 2–3 days, with the opportunity to increase hours as our customer routes grow.
We're specifically looking for someone who is interested in building a long-term position with Scoop It Up, rather than someone simply looking for a short-term casual job.
As our routes fill and the business continues to grow, there will be opportunities for the right person to take on more hours and progress into a full-time position.
Why Join Scoop It Up?
- Part-time hours to start
- Opportunity to progress into full-time
- Work independently rather than sitting in an office
- Spend your days working with and around dogs

- Opportunity to take on more responsibility as the business grows
- No two days are exactly the same
If you're physically fit, reliable, love dogs and want to grow with a small business, we'd love to hear from you.
