Cirelli Coffee is a specialty coffee business located in Allenby Gardens, with a strong focus on quality coffee, customer service and creating an enjoyable café experience. We are passionate about delivering consistently high standards across our coffee, food and service offerings.
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Cafe Manager to oversee the day-today operations of our café. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional with strong café management experience, extensive coffee knowledge and a passion for delivering high-quality customer service.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily café operations to ensure efficient service and consistently high standards of coffee, food and customer service.
- Recruit, train and supervise café staff, prepare staff rosters, monitor performance and ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet operational requirements.
- Monitor stock levels and arrange the purchase of coffee beans, food ingredients, beverages and other café supplies, liaising with suppliers where required.
- Monitor income and expenditure, control operational costs and assist with budgeting and financial management.
- Monitor the quality and consistency of coffee, food and beverage service and address any operational or service issues as required.
- Respond to customer feedback and complaints and take appropriate action to maintain high standards of customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to menu planning and development and oversee food preparation and service to maintain appropriate quality and presentation standards.
- Ensure the café and its operations comply with relevant food safety, hygiene, workplace health and safety, liquor licensing and other regulatory requirements.
Required Qualification and Experience
- Diploma of Hospitality Management or equivalent qualification.
- At least 3 years’ relevant experience in café or hospitality management.
- Demonstrated experience in food preparation and café operations.
- Completion of Food Safety Supervisor course.
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Strong coffee knowledge and practical coffee-making skills.
- High-level latte art skills and a strong understanding of coffee quality and presentation standards.
- Demonstrated ability to train and develop baristas and other café staff.
- Sound knowledge of commercial coffee machines, grinders and other coffee-making equipment.
- Strong leadership, organisational and staff management skills.
- Sound knowledge of stock control, purchasing, budgeting and cost management. Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced café environment.
- Flexibility and availability to work weekends as required.
Pay: $68,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
