Albany Creek Veterinary Surgery is looking for a passionate and experienced Full-Time Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team!
We’re looking for a qualified Veterinary Nurse who is compassionate, confident and enjoys providing high-quality patient care while working as part of a supportive team.
About the role
This is a varied and rewarding role within a busy, professional veterinary practice. You’ll work closely with our veterinarians and nursing team to provide excellent care to our patients and their families.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Providing high-quality nursing and inpatient care

Surgical preparation and anaesthetic monitoring
-
Assisting veterinarians with consultations, procedures and treatments
-
Administering medications and treatments
-
Pathology, IV catheter placement and fluid therapy
-
Dental and general nursing duties
-
Patient monitoring and recovery
-
Client communication, education and discharge
-
Maintaining accurate patient records and high standards of hygiene
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their nursing skills, is comfortable working in a busy environment and genuinely cares about the wellbeing of both patients and clients.
About you
You will ideally be:

Certificate IV qualified in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)

Experienced and confident in clinical nursing and anaesthesia

Compassionate, reliable and professional

A strong communicator and team player

Organised, proactive and able to work independently

Passionate about patient care and continued professional development
