We are seeking experienced and motivated Trainers & Assessors – Bricklaying and Blocklaying, Wall and Ceiling Lining and Building and Construction to join our growing Registered Training Organisation (RTO). This is an exciting opportunity to share your industry expertise, support the next generation of tradespeople, and contribute to high-quality vocational education and training.
About the Role
As a Trainer & Assessor, you will be responsible for delivering and assessing nationally recognised training in bricklaying and block laying, wall and/or ceiling lining or building and construction ensuring students develop the practical skills and knowledge required for successful careers in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging face-to-face and practical training sessions.
Assess student competency in accordance with training package requirements.
Develop and maintain training and assessment records.
Monitor student progress and provide mentoring and support.
Conduct workplace visits where required.
Ensure compliance with the Standards for RTOs and relevant industry requirements.
Participate in validation, moderation, and continuous improvement activities.
Maintain current industry knowledge and vocational competency.
Essential Requirements
Demonstrated industry experience
Relevant trade qualification
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent) or willingness to obtain.
Current knowledge of industry practices and standards.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Current driver's licence and reliable transport.
Desirable
Previous experience delivering training within the VET sector.
Experience working with apprentices and diverse learner groups.
Knowledge of RTO compliance requirements.
