About the role
Ready to play a key role in driving growth across one of Bunnings' most exciting commercial categories? As our Category Specialist - Bathroom, Appliances & Plumbing, you'll combine your commercial mindset, relationship-building skills and product expertise to create value for customers and support our Account Management teams across the country.
Working closely with Commercial, Merchandise, Operations and supplier partners, you'll help identify opportunities, deliver tailored solutions and influence project outcomes from planning through to delivery. This is a role where your expertise will make a genuine impact, while opening up pathways that are yours to build through exposure to a broad network of customers, stakeholders and category leaders.
What's involved:
- Drive growth across our Bathroom, Appliances and Plumbing categories by identifying and converting new commercial opportunities.
- Partner with Account Managers to support customers with solutions, product recommendations and project outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with commercial customers, industry partners and suppliers to create long-term value.
- Work closely with Merchandise teams to identify new products, emerging trends and market opportunities.
- Support specification opportunities by providing technical product expertise and category insights.
- Develop and execute sales and opportunity plans that contribute to commercial growth objectives.
- Share knowledge and provide training that helps internal teams build confidence and capability within the category.
- Analyse market activity, competitor movements and customer needs to uncover opportunities for growth.
- Support complex customer enquiries, project quotations and delivery planning to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Champion safe work practices and compliance standards across all aspects of the role.

You'll need:
- Experience in commercial sales, business development, account management or category specialist roles.
- Strong knowledge of bathroom, appliances, plumbing or related building product categories.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and convert new business opportunities.
- Experience working with commercial customers, project stakeholders or trade-focused businesses.
- Excellent relationship-building, communication and influencing skills.
- Confidence presenting product solutions, delivering training and sharing technical knowledge.
- Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of sales, margin and profitability drivers.
- Ability to analyse market trends and translate insights into growth opportunities.
- Experience using CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel as required.
This role will have a base location of our NSW Support Office, with regular time at our BSS Studio in Castle Hill. There will be regular travel around the Sydney Metro area, including travel to regional locations when required.
