About the role
Category 5 Labour Management is seeking experienced Hi Rail Operators / Plant Operators to support rail maintenance and civil works across multiple projects in the Pilbara. This role involves operating plant within live rail corridors, completing maintenance activities, vegetation management, ore car line cleaning, and general earthworks while working safely within Rio Tinto rail environments.
Required tickets & licences
- C Class Driver’s Licence
- White Card
- TLIF0020 – Safely Access the Rail Corridor
- RIIMP0301D or RIIMP0301E – Excavator
- RIIMP0334E – Skid Steer Loader
- RIIMP0304B – Wheel Loader
Highly desirable
- HR or HC Driver’s Licence
- Current Rio Tinto inductions
- Rio Safe Working competencies
- Previous Hi Rail / Rail Corridor experience
- Current RIW Card
- Verification of Competency (VOC) on relevant plant
Key responsibilities
- Operate excavators, skid steers and wheel loaders across rail maintenance and civil projects
- Work safely within live rail corridors
- Complete vegetation management and corridor maintenance
- Clean dumper ore car lines
- Undertake general earthworks and site maintenance
- Comply with all Rio Tinto and site safety requirements
