Make your mark at BildGroup: This is a full-time field mechanic role covering Melbourne metro construction and earthmoving sites for BildGroup's Asset Management team. You will be on the tools servicing and repairing a mixed fleet of heavy plant including excavators, rollers, skid steers, final trim machines, profilers and earthmoving equipment. A work vehicle and full tool supply come with the role.

The role and what we are looking for: What you will need
Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or Mechanical Fitting, or equivalent trade qualification
Demonstrated experience maintaining and repairing heavy plant or earthmoving equipment, for example excavators, rollers, profilers, skid steers or similar
Heavy Vehicle Technician Accreditation or equivalent
Heavy Rigid driver's licence
Ability to produce accurate, timely maintenance records
Useful, but not essential
Additional mobile plant tickets or OEM-specific training.
A career where you belong: What you will be doing
Service, diagnose and repair heavy plant and earthmoving equipment onsite across Melbourne metro project locations, including excavators, rollers, skid steers, profilers and final trim machines
Respond to field breakdowns and operational call-outs, getting equipment back in service safely and efficiently
Perform preventative maintenance in line with OEM schedules and document all work, parts and follow-up actions in the maintenance system
Use mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic diagnostic tools to identify faults and conduct onsite calibrations and adjustments

Carry out onsite risk assessments, maintain isolations and safe work area setups, and participate in toolbox talks and safety initiatives
