The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Dealers Assistant, you will provide operational support to a team of highly successful Stockbrokers and Investment Advisers who primarily handle ASX securities trading, portfolio management and corporate desk deals.
As a Dealers Assistant you will undertake a range of duties including:
- Client account management which includes assisting with the set-up of new accounts and required client follow up
- Aid in capital raisings using the Complii system
- Assist with time sensitive desk-generated deals
- Manage client fund availability to ensure settlement of share purchases
- Collaborate with the Operations Team to address any trade-related issues
- Build the skills and obtain a qualification to be able to complete execution only trades on behalf of Advisers
- Identify wholesale and retail clients and maintain accurate records.
- Manage Adviser schedules and appointments
- Manage compliance requirements and maintain accurate, up-to-date client files within XPlan
About you

This role would ideally suit a candidate with exceptional organisational skills and an interest in learning more about the stock market.
To be successful in this role you will be able to display the following:
- Previous experience in a similar type of role would be highly regarded.
- An understanding of the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX).
- Experience with data entry and data management tools.
- Exposure to fast-paced work settings and/or roles with tight deadlines.
- Exceptional focus on accuracy and precision in all administrative duties.
- A strong understanding of financial services, client administration, compliance requirements and industry processes.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and high-pressure financial industry environment, quickly adapting to changing circumstances and new challenges as they arise.
- University degree in a related field would be highly regarded but not essential.
