The Urban Planner Lead role provides critical support to colleagues and leaders in delivering high-quality urban planning outcomes across a diverse pipeline of city-shaping projects throughout Australia and New Zealand. You will play a leading role in shaping strategic planning initiatives across infrastructure, precincts, transport, energy, and regeneration projects. Working within multidisciplinary teams, you will help deliver integrated, evidence-based solutions that respond to complex urban challenges and client needs.
The Opportunity
- Lead and contribute to strategic urban planning projects, including precinct strategies, masterplans, policy development, and advisory work
- Apply strong knowledge of the QLD planning system to deliver planning studies, statutory pathways, feasibility assessments, and due diligence
- Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated outcomes across transport, sustainability, infrastructure, economics, and urban design
- Develop high-quality, evidence-based reports, strategic advice, and planning documentation for clients and stakeholders
- Build and manage client relationships while supporting business development through proposals, tenders, and identifying new opportunities

Is this role right for you?
- 10+ years of experience in urban and strategic planning, precinct planning, or related advisory roles
- Strong expertise in the QLD planning system, including policy, approval pathways, and government priorities
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex planning projects, with excellent analytical, report writing, and communication skills
- Experience working in multidisciplinary environments, with strong collaboration and project management capabilities
- Proficiency in spatial and analytical tools such as GIS and Excel, with the ability to translate data into clear planning insights
