Reporting to the Manager, Technical Services and Facilities, you will work closely with academic and professional staff to support exceptional practical learning experiences across a broad range of allied health disciplines. This varied role combines technical expertise, team coordination, and operational planning, balancing hands-on support with the organisation and delivery of practical teaching, research, and simulation activities.
As a senior member of the Technical Services Team, you will supervise and develop a team of Technical Officers while contributing to the ongoing improvement of services, facilities, and teaching environments. You will also play an important role in supporting future initiatives, including the establishment of new Speech Pathology teaching facilities and programs, supporting the continued growth of allied health education at Bond University.
You are an organised and approachable professional who enjoys supporting others to succeed. With strong technical knowledge and a hands-on approach, you are equally comfortable working alongside your team, partnering with academics, and supporting the successful delivery of high-quality practical learning experiences.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills enable you to build positive working relationships with academics, colleagues, students, and external stakeholders. A collaborative approach, combined with a commitment to high-quality service, helps you contribute to a supportive team environment and positive outcomes across the faculty.
Highly organised and proactive, you have a knack for anticipating needs, identifying potential issues early, and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. You remain calm under pressure, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and bring a practical, solutions-focused approach to keep operations running smoothly
Key attributes include:
-
A collaborative leadership style, with a genuine commitment to supporting and developing others.
-
Exceptional organisational and communication skills, with the ability to anticipate needs, coordinate competing demands, and build trusted stakeholder relationships.
