What you'll be doing
As a Registered Nurse in the Perioperative Unit, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients recovering from surgery and undergoing day procedures. You will play a vital role in ensuring safe patient recovery, coordinating care and supporting patients and families throughout their healthcare journey.
- Deliver efficient, compassionate and person-centred nursing care that meets individual patient needs
- Assess, monitor and respond to changes in patient condition within a fast-paced perioperative environment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, facilitate discharge planning and make appropriate referrals
- Provide guidance, mentoring and supervision to nursing staff and students during clinical placement
- Advocate for patients and families while ensuring effective use of resources and adherence to professional standards

Essential Criteria:
- Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria:
1. Demonstrated recent clinical experience in either : Post Anaesthetic Care Unit(Recovery) or recent High Dependency Nursing experience, as an Anaesthetic and/or Circulating instrument nurse which is relevant to the position and a demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, practice development and evidence-based practice
2. Demonstrated application of evidence based practice and critical thinking to patient care
3. Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, delegate, and negotiate with others to deliver quality nursing care
4. Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology, written and verbal means and sound interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people.
5. Consistently demonstrates behaviours that re-inforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, openness, Respect and empowerment
