The Group Digital Director role is a significant role Digital & Technology team and fully integrated in the Client team. As Group Digital Director you are responsible for delivering market leading digital strategies for your client patch. This role is for ensuring best-in-class innovative and integrated Digital media strategies are crafted to respond to our client’s business needs. The Group Digital Director is also responsible for leading education and digital literacy across the Client team as well as other teams in both Melbourne and Sydney in collaboration with the National Head of Biddable.
Your scope will include:

Ownership of the delivery of Digital Strategy on your clients, working closely with the Digital specialists on long term roadmaps across Programmatic, SEM, SEO, Analytics & CRO

Drive innovation & creativity across the team, ensuring the brands are at the cutting edge of Digital and Data opportunities

Lead strategy and implementation planning of the team, ensuring the Digital strategy and partnerships fully ladder to the overall communications strategy in partnership with strategy teams and client’s external agency stakeholders.

Lead strong and mutually beneficial relationships with digital publishers and vendors

Craft and deliver Digital training to your team and to the wider agency as well as clients to ensure understanding of Digital landscape and it’s evolution

Full financial responsibility of your clients sets, including forecasting and ensuring invoicing accuracy.

Development of best-in-class playbooks and market leading, first party tools.

Market overview summaries and digital training (internal and external)

Responding to and presenting new business pitches

Sharing of knowledge, innovations and insights with the wider agency, as well as contributing to PR and opinion pieces externally.

Works autonomously to meet client and agency objectives delivering digital strategies for our key clients and major digital campaigns

Develops and implements ways of working with senior clients where necessary, to ensure an effective and efficient operating rhythm and be visible across key accounts.

Delivers thought leadership on all accounts, developing with the team, best in class strategies to deliver on clients objectives.

What type of person will be successful in this role

Preferably a university degree or higher education qualifications.

Advertising agency experience is an advantage
-
Excellent understanding and working knowledge of digital marketing, backed by relevant experience in the major digital channels and proven experience planning holistic digital advertising campaigns across multiple digital channels.

Good understanding and working knowledge of Australian media landscape.

Highly proficient in the following Office platforms: Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Experience with new business pitches

Strong leader and able to lead a large team of experienced digital professionals with experience managing a team of people (levels co-ordinator – director).
