What you will do
As deputy sheriff, you will lead statewide sheriff's operations and support the Sheriff of Victoria.
You will help deliver safe, lawful and consistent enforcement services across Victoria.
You will:
- lead statewide sheriff's operations and support regional managers and sheriff's officers
- provide expert advice on operational planning, risk, compliance, policy and service improvements
- oversee safe, lawful and consistent enforcement activities across metropolitan and regional Victoria
- drive strategic projects, governance, performance and a culture of integrity and accountability
- manage operational priorities, records and sheriff-issued technology while responding to operational needs across all hours.
About you
You should have a full Victorian driver licence. Related tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience are desirable.
You should also have:
- strong knowledge of Victorian sheriff's operations, the Victorian fines system and relevant legislation
- extensive leadership experience in a complex operational environment
- excellent judgement, communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence decisions
- proven ability to lead change, build inclusive teams and deliver high-quality outcomes.
