What does the job look like?
Collaborating on an exciting new contract with a leading beverage company, the Transport Supervisor oversees daily transport operations at the site, ensuring a safe working environment, managing site risks, and maintaining compliance with company, client, and regulatory standards. You will be accountable for optimising resource utilisation, collaborating with the Transport Manager to enhance operational procedures and meet budgeted results and contractual obligations. This will be a long-term career opportunity, operating out of our Tullamarine site on the Night shift, Monday – Friday, 10PM – 6:00AM. Key areas:
Supervise and support the day-to-day Night Shift operations at the site, ensuring adherence to work allocation, driver schedules, and service metrics
Ensure that all Safety & Compliance requirements are adhered to and in line with the operational plan
Monitor and assess transport Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring that service levels are achieved
Manage subcontractors, ensuring compliance with the cartage contract and FoxLink (Subcontractor Management System) requirements
Conduct daily and weekly reconciliation of assets, including inventory, pallets, and transport equipment
Optimise payloads to achieve satisfactory commercial returns, implementing strategies for route and schedule success
Coordinate daily resource planning activities to align with forecast and budget plans
Collaborate with subcontractors to meet seasonal requirements effectively
Maintain a cooperative relationship through routine meetings, regular communication, and genuine concern for customer welfare and success
