Registered Midwife – ADaPPT Amber Team
Join a specialist team providing compassionate, woman-centred care to women and families experiencing complex circumstances.
About the Role
We have part-time, fixed-term opportunities available within the ADaPPT Amber Team at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton, covering long service and parental leave:
Long Service Leave Fixed term until February 2027
Maternity Leave Fixed term until July 2027
Working across a rotating roster, maternity clinics and Birth Suite, you will provide coordinated care to women experiencing drug and alcohol dependence, complex psychosocial concerns, intellectual disability and other vulnerabilities.
You will work collaboratively within a specialist multidisciplinary team to deliver respectful, culturally responsive care tailored to each woman’s individual needs, values and circumstances.
About ADaPPT
The Adolescent Drug and Psychiatric Pregnancy Team provides specialist maternity care and support to women and families experiencing complex challenges.
The Amber Team works closely with the Young Women’s Team, supporting adolescents and young women with psychosocial concerns or intellectual disabilities throughout pregnancy and the postnatal period.
About You
You are an experienced and compassionate Registered Midwife committed to empowering women and families through informed choice, consistent advice and continuity of care.
You will bring:
Experience working across maternity clinics and Birth Suite
Drug and alcohol and extended postnatal care experience
Strong communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills
A commitment to culturally safe, woman-centred care
Family Planning Victoria Sexual and Reproductive Health Part One, or a willingness to work towards it
