We are excited to be offering a new vacancy within our National Legal, Risk, Audit and Compliance function, for an experienced candidate to join, and partner with claims teams to undertake quality assurance and promote best practice across the Victorian Workers Compensation business. This function aims to support the delivery of strategic objectives and meet the obligations of all relevant industry regulators and licensing/claim management regimes. The Operational Risk – Personal Injury stream is a component of the broader team and is responsible for all audit and assurance activity, as well as the management of operational risks relating to our national personal injury business.
Contributing to the performance uplift and risk culture of the function, this role provides a unique opportunity to support our business to meet contractual obligations related to audit and assurance activities and support the uplift of performance including the completion of Health Checks through:
How you'll make an impact

Complete audits and Health Checks within the required timeframes and providing insights to Operations to assist in uplifting performance;

Share management of the compliance inbox, including coordination and communication with WorkSafe on upcoming audits;

Coordinate responses from Operations to address potential non-compliance/audit fails identified by WorkSafe through audit/health check activity within the required timeframes and using WorkSafe systems;

Summarise and disseminate audit and health check results to Operations, ensuring that insights are meaningful to assist with improvement activities;

Lead close out meetings where required, guiding Operations in the development of remediation plans and tracking completion of actions to improve audit outcomes;

Deliver audit and assurance results with Senior Leaders, Branch and Team Managers to promote continuous improvement;

Provide training, as part of the Case Management school, alongside the Quality Assurance Team, in relation to the Quality Assurance program of work and attend Team Toolboxes as Subject Matter Expert;

Assist with the completion of regular reporting including quarterly reporting to WorkSafe;

Contribute to relevant performance meetings at both a Quality Assurance team and Operations level to understand issues within the broader business and the importance of audit and health check activity;

Foster open, transparent and trusting relationships with our internal and external clients.
About you

Extensive experience in the workers compensation claims management space, with strong legislative and procedural knowledge;

Understanding of best practice claims management;

Exceptional time management and organisational skills;
