Adult Glee Club is looking for exceptional musicians and community-minded humans to join our growing team of Music Directors.
We’re not your traditional choir.
Our Glee Clubs bring adults of all musical backgrounds together to sing great contemporary music, build confidence, make friends and feel like absolute ROCKSTARS.
Behind all that Glee is a highly organised, musically excellent and professionally delivered program - and our Music Directors are at the heart of it.
The Role
You’ll lead a weekly 90-minute Glee session across each 10-week school term, teaching approximately 6–8 songs per term and preparing members for performances and events.
Repertoire, arrangements and operational support are provided by our HQ team.
Your job? Bring the music - and the room- to life.
We're looking for someone who can:
- Lead a room confidently, warmly and with plenty of personality
- Teach vocal parts and harmonies accurately and efficiently
- Maintain high musical standards while keeping rehearsals accessible and FUN
- Read music confidently and prepare repertoire thoroughly
- Play vocal parts and basic accompaniment on piano and/or guitar
- Communicate clearly, stay organised and meet deadlines- Create an inclusive environment for singers of all backgrounds and abilities
- Be reliable, collaborative and a great team player
Experience in choir/vocal direction, music education, vocal coaching, conducting or community music is highly regarded.
Bonus points for vocal arranging, harmony writing and strong piano or guitar skills.

Our MDs don't simply teach songs - they build communities.
You'll help create a place where people feel welcomed, challenged and supported, while joining End of Month Socials and leading members through performances and community events.
Additional paid opportunities are also available through festivals, corporate events, special performances and projects.
The Commitment
Adult Glee Club operates across four 10-week school terms each year, with most weekly sessions running approximately 7:00–8:30pm.
Music Directors are paid a fixed fee per rehearsal, with details provided during the application process.
