About the opportunity
Take full ownership of Australia Post’s business-to-business parcel product suite.
As Group Product Manager, B2B Parcel Products, you’ll set the strategy for the solutions businesses use to send goods to other businesses. These products help manufacturers move components, wholesalers distribute stock, suppliers service stores and organisations connect warehouses, branches and operating sites.
Business customers need parcel solutions that support complex volumes, collections, delivery timeframes, tracking, returns and account requirements. Your portfolio must solve these needs at scale while delivering strong commercial returns.
This senior role carries accountability for the entire B2B parcel product suite. You’ll own its strategy, profit and loss performance, product mix, customer adoption and long-term growth.
The position also leads a team of product managers. Clear direction, strong commercial judgement and high accountability will help the team turn customer needs into products that perform.
Success requires more than maintaining a roadmap. It means deciding where Australia Post should compete, which customer problems deserve investment and how the portfolio should evolve.
Customer insight, market intelligence, operational data and financial performance will shape those decisions. The role then carries each decision through investment, delivery, adoption and performance.
Our national network, operational scale and business relationships create a strong platform for growth. This is your opportunity to sharpen our proposition and define the future of our B2B parcel products.
You’ll also
- Set and execute the multi-year strategy for Australia Post’s B2B parcel product suite.
- Own revenue, EBIT, costs, product mix, adoption and portfolio performance.
- Lead and develop a team of product managers, setting clear priorities and commercial expectations.
- Decide which customer segments, market opportunities and product investments the portfolio will pursue.
- Direct investment towards propositions that solve customer problems and produce sustainable returns.
- Connect sales, operations, pricing, technology, finance and customer experience around one portfolio strategy.
- Represent the product suite with major business customers, partners and senior stakeholders.
About you
You’re an established product leader who has owned a substantial B2B product suite, commercial portfolio or business line.
Your experience includes direct accountability for profit and loss performance. You understand how product decisions affect revenue, earnings, costs, adoption and long-term portfolio value.
Previous roles have required you to set strategy, allocate investment and make product lifecycle decisions. You can demonstrate how those choices improved commercial and customer outcomes.
Business customers sit at the centre of your approach. You understand how product solutions connect with supply chains, inventory, distribution, site operations and service commitments.
Strong customer relationships help you uncover problems and test propositions. Commercial discipline ensures the resulting products can serve a defined market, operate at scale and generate sustainable returns.
You bring the credibility to influence general managers and senior leaders. Clear recommendations, supported by evidence, help stakeholders understand the trade-offs and commit to a direction.
Complexity does not slow your decision-making. You combine customer insight, market intelligence, operational data and financial analysis to make informed choices.
Leadership experience also matters. You set expectations, delegate authority, challenge thinking and hold experienced product managers accountable for results.
This role requires proven ownership of a major commercial product portfolio. Experience focused on feature delivery, backlog management or executing another leader’s strategy will not meet the required level.
You’ll also need
- Extensive product leadership experience within a large, complex or operationally intensive organisation.
- Proven ownership of a substantial B2B product suite, commercial portfolio or business line.
- Direct accountability for revenue, earnings, costs, product mix and broader profit and loss performance.
- Experience leading and developing product managers or other experienced product professionals.
- A record of setting and executing multi-year product strategies.
- Authority over major investment, prioritisation and product lifecycle decisions.
- Experience influencing general managers, executives or comparable senior stakeholders.
- Commercial expertise across business cases, investment planning, performance management and benefit realisation.
Your experience should cover the full product lifecycle, from customer discovery and market assessment through investment, delivery, adoption and commercial performance.
You’ll also understand how product choices affect pricing, network capacity, service performance, cost and operational complexity.
