About the opportunity
The Digital Learning Lead leads the design, development and continuous improvement of NSW SES digital learning resources. The role scopes, implements and manages digital curriculum development tools, standards and workflows to support efficient development and lifecycle maintenance of training resources for a diverse volunteer workforce. This is a practical leadership role with a strong delivery focus, requiring someone who can set direction, lift digital learning capability and quality, and also personally develop digital learning products using contemporary authoring tools and technologies. The role will also support innovation across digital learning by exploring and applying approved contemporary solutions, including artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies, where they improve quality, accessibility, efficiency and learner experience. The role combines hands-on digital learning development with quality assurance, accessibility, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement across the Operational Training portfolio.

About you
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have demonstrated experience leading digital learning design and development while also personally producing, testing and improving contemporary, accessible and compliant digital learning resources.
- Bring strong working knowledge of digital curriculum development tools and systems, including the practical ability to build digital learning products and evaluate and adopt approved emerging technologies and practices, including AI-enabled solutions where appropriate.
- Be confident establishing digital learning standards, templates, quality checkpoints and end-to-end workflows while remaining actively involved in the design, build, review, publishing and maintenance of digital learning products.
- Be comfortable operating in a dual delivery and leadership capacity, balancing strategic improvement, stakeholder influence and quality assurance with hands-on development of digital learning materials.
- Communicate effectively and influence stakeholders to adopt standardised digital practices, reduce rework and improve consistency across a growing training portfolio.
- Hold Certificate IV in Training and Education (TAE40116/TAE40122 or equivalent/higher) or be willing to obtain it within 12 months.
