About the role
We have an opportunity for an Application Support Officer to be part of our Microsoft Infrastructure Platform, Technology & Communication Services Command. The Application Support Officer provides technical administration and system support for the day-to-day
operations of assigned NSWPF organisational Information and Communications Technology (ICT) applications.
As a Application Support Officer within the Messaging Team, you will provide operational and technical support for enterprise messaging and collaboration services, including Microsoft Exchange Online, Microsoft 365, Teams and associated communication platforms.
The role is responsible for assisting with incident resolution, service requests, user support, system administration activities, operational monitoring, troubleshooting and the day-to-day support of messaging services used across NSWPF. You will work closely with engineers, administrators, service management teams and business stakeholders to maintain service availability, performance and user experience.
In addition to general platform support activities, the role assists with authorised information retrieval and mailbox investigations, supporting legal, HR, audit and operational requirements. This includes conducting approved mailbox searches, validating results, handling sensitive information appropriately and maintaining auditability and compliance throughout the process. Successful applicants will develop expertise across Microsoft messaging technologies, operational support processes, information governance, incident and request management, and enterprise collaboration platforms. The role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, sound judgement, effective communication and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
