What we are looking for:
We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Team Member to join our Works Operations team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with practical experience in concrete construction and maintenance activities, including form setting and finishing works. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will help deliver quality road, drainage and concrete infrastructure projects that support our growing community.
What your day will look like:
- Deliver road, drainage and concrete construction and maintenance works
- Construct and finish concrete projects including kerb and channel, footpaths and culverts
- Operate and maintain Council plant, tools and equipment safely
- Undertake pre-start inspections and basic maintenance activities
- Apply traffic control and safe work practices in public environments
- Record completed works, timesheets and service requests using Council systems

What you’ll need for success:
- General Construction Induction (White Card)
- Valid MR Licence recognised in Queensland
- Demonstrated experience in concrete works, including form setting and finishing
- Experience constructing kerb and channel, footpaths and culverts
- Experience in road and drainage maintenance and construction activities
- Ability to safely operate and maintain plant, tools and equipment
- Understanding of WHS requirements and safe work practices
- Ability to work effectively within a team and provide quality customer service
- Basic digital skills to record work activities and service requests
What’ s nice to have:
- Safe Working Near Exposed Live Parts (SWNELP)
- Chainsaw Level 1
- Traffic Management Implementation (Level 2)
