We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
High level of mechanical and technical experience and understanding relating to fleet management.
Demonstrated experience with and capability in the utilisation of computer-based fleet and workshop management systems.
Demonstrated well developed communication, negotiation and consultation skills and the proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills including a demonstrated ability to interpret fleet and equipment performance data to drive performance improvement.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role:
Applicants must have the recognised trade qualification of A: Grade Automotive Technician, or other equivalent trade qualification; with a minimum of three (3) years post-apprentice trade experience.
Applicants are required to hold a Queensland Driver's Licence equivalent to the National Rigid Licence - Light Rigid (LR) level. Interstate and international applicants must hold an equivalent licence at the time of applying and will be expected to obtain a Queensland Driver's Licence upon appointment.
Applicants are required to hold a current First Aid Certificate; or have successfully obtained a First Aid Certificate prior to commencement.
Experience in the application of Code of Practice (Light Vehicle), vehicle air-conditioning systems, electrics and contemporary diesel engines is highly desirable.
There may be a requirement to perform after hours / on-call duties when required.
