The VIMC contract involves the operation, maintenance and performance management of critical Intelligent Transport Systems, traffic signal assets, communications networks, electrical infrastructure and associated roadside technology across live traffic environments.
The maintenance workforce plays a critical role in keeping the road network safe, reliable and operational for the travelling public. Works are performed across metropolitan and regional Victoria and include planned maintenance, fault response, emergency works, inspections, repairs, testing and restoration of traffic signals and ITS assets.
About the role
The Asset Performance Manager is responsible for the management, governance and performance of asset information across the ITS maintenance contract. Reporting to the Project Director, you will lead the integrity of asset data, performance reporting and analytics to support informed decision making, contract compliance and operational excellence. This role plays a key part in providing visibility of asset performance, maintenance effectiveness and contractual KPI outcomes, while driving continuous improvement across systems, reporting and asset management processes.
Role responsibilities

Lead the governance, accuracy and integrity of asset registers, maintenance records and asset information systems.

Develop and maintain performance dashboards, reports and analytics to monitor contractual KPIs and asset performance.

Analyse fault trends, asset reliability and maintenance effectiveness to identify risks and improvement opportunities.

Provide timely insights and performance reporting to operational teams, senior leaders and client stakeholders.

Oversee asset data quality processes, audits and system controls to ensure information remains accurate and auditable.

Support the ongoing enhancement of digital systems, reporting tools and data management processes.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance asset performance, reporting efficiency and service delivery outcomes.
About you

Extensive experience in asset management, asset performance, maintenance management or related infrastructure environments.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into practical business outcomes.

Experience working with maintenance management and reporting systems such as Maximo, Power BI and advanced Excel.

Proven ability to manage asset information, performance reporting and governance processes in a regulated environment.

Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence outcomes at all levels.

A strong understanding of transport, road infrastructure, intelligent transport systems, traffic signals and/or electrical assets is highly regarded.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Asset Management, Data Analytics, Business, Project Management or a related discipline are highly desirable.
