Thanks to the trust of our existing clients, the company is growing and seeking a full-time Construction Estimator for our Mildura office.
About the position
- Handle all building estimating tasks
- Prepare quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost estimates, and tender submissions for residential and commercial projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation to develop accurate pricing and budgets.
- Assess supplier and subcontractor quotations and prepare cost comparisons.
- Monitor project budgets, variations, and cost forecasts throughout project delivery.·
- Identify cost risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Assist in pricing HomeKit installation, smart home automation, drainage, renovation, and other building projects.
About you
- At least two years of experience in residential estimating.
- Experience in quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, tender pricing, and cost estimation.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building documentation.
- Experience reviewing supplier and subcontractor quotations and supporting procurement activities.
- Ability to identify cost risks, pricing discrepancies, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple estimating tasks and deadlines.
- Experience in residential and infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.
- Previous site supervision or construction delivery experience will be highly regarded.
- Mechanical engineering background or experience with equipment-based construction works will be highly regarded.
