Club Chef - Surry Hills, located on busy Mary St, provide quality uniforms and equipment to Chefs, Front of House staff and the Hospitality Industry. We also sell an extensive range of professional standard cookware, equipment & utensils and culinary books.
We are currently seeking an Experienced Casual Sales Assistant to join our team. This is an ideal position for someone with exceptional customer service skills, great interpersonal skills and a strong drive to deliver excellent sales results. Experience in a commercial kitchen and the hospitality industry is preferred but not essential.
The successful candidate must be available to work a flexible roster of 10-15 hours a week and be available Saturday's (10am-4pm) on a rotating roster.
You must be flexible in regard to weekly working hours.
Daily tasks will include, but will not be limited to -
- General cleaning and store maintenance
- Developing product knowledge
- Building rapport with customers
- Answering telephone queries
- Taking phone orders
- Restocking of display units
- Assist customers with uniform fittings
- Accurately pack orders
- Opening and closing procedures
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills -
- Customer service experience within retail and/or hospitality
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic
- Shows initiative
- Be punctual and reliable
- High standard of personal presentation
- Focus on customer service
- Have an energetic and positive attitude.
- The ability to speak a second language other than English (e.g. Mandarin) would be advantageous but not a necessity
