About This Role:
This is a 1:1 placement with an NDIS participant in Bassendean, WA. Our client is a friendly senior with autism and would like someone who understands autism, is easy to talk to and overall warm. They're simply after some relaxed, judgement-free help getting more comfortable with their computer.
Great fit for students or anyone wanting a relaxed, low-hours role that still feels meaningful
Schedule:
- 1-2 hours, weekly or fortnightly
- Dates are flexible
- In-person at the client's home in Bassendean, WA
Potential to extend sessions if it's a good fit for both parties. Schedule can be relatively flexible, as you will be able to coordinate with the client.
What You'll Do
Sit alongside the client and help with everyday computer questions i.e. email, browsing, video calls, printing, general troubleshooting, and whatever else comes up
Keep the pace chill and unhurried as this is a relaxed, low-pressure session. We encourage you to build a genuine, comfortable rapport over time.
Who We're Looking For
- Naturally warm, patient, and easy to talk to.
- Preferable if you have experience working with autism or understand autism
- Tech-savvy or genuinely interested in tech i.e. an IT background, current IT/computer science study, or just a knack for technology
- Ability to explain tech questions in a simple, paced way
- Comfortable working independently in someone's home

- Aged 18 or over
- Located within a reasonable distance of Bassendean, WA
- Reliable and punctual for the agreed schedule
