About LendingBase
LendingBase is embedded mortgage broking platform. Consumer brands offer home lending under their own name. We manage the compliance, employ the brokers, and run the assessment, the application and the settlement behind it.
For a broker, that means the enquiry comes from a customer already inside a brand they trust, already identified, and already qualified before it reaches your pipeline. What is left is the part you are actually good at: advice, structure, negotiation, settlement.
We are hiring the first set of brokers into this team, so you would be setting the vision rather than inheriting one. The team is small now and will not stay that way. We are looking for ambitious brokers who want to grow as the business grows and want a say in where it goes.
Why this role is different
- Qualified enquiries, provided. You do not prospect, you do not buy leads, and you do not spend Friday afternoon working a database. Volume arrives from partner brands and is qualified before it reaches you.
- Ground floor, and we mean it literally. You are joining the broking team at the beginning. The standards you set in year one become the standards.
- A meaningful growth path. As volume grows, the senior brokers who are here early will have the opportunity to grow with the company.
- Systems and technology you get a say in. Process, file standards and scorecards are built and documented, so your week goes into deals and working with clients rather than into admin.
What you will do
- You own the client outcome from the first conversation to the settlement confirmation.
- Take qualified enquiries and convert them into structured, lodged, settled loans.
- Analyse position, goals, serviceability and structure properly before recommending anything.
- Structure and place residential lending across a residential lending panel.
- Discuss files with lenders, submit pricing requests and escalate where a policy position needs to be reviewed.
- Meet Best Interests Duty and NCCP obligations on every file, documented at the time, not reconstructed afterwards.
- Represent the partner brand. The customer belongs to them, the experience belongs to us, and the two should be indistinguishable.
- Feed lender policy and product intelligence back into the team and help shape the process as the volume grows.
What you bring
- Four or more years writing residential mortgages.
- Cert IV of Finance and Mortgage Broking.
- Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking.
- Demonstrated volume of settled loans.
- A real interest in broking technology. You will be working inside a platform we build ourselves and helping decide what it does next.
- Genuine seriousness about compliance.
- Comfort with representing a partner brand or even multiple ones at once.
- The instinct to fix a broken process instead of working around.
What we offer
- Base salary of $100,000 to $115,000 depending on experience, plus a bonus/commission tied to settled volume and customer service quality.
- Up to two weeks a year working from anywhere in the world and three company days on top of 4 weeks annual leave.
- Home office allowance on top of laptop and equipment provided.
- Surry Hills office with hybrid working.
- Further accreditation and professional development on offer.
Pay: $100,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year
