Cross Care Smithfield is a growing multidisciplinary healthcare and NDIS provider committed to delivering high-quality, child-centered care to children, young people and their families.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Pediatrician to join our team on a full-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Pediatrician who is looking to work in a collaborative environment alongside experienced allied health professionals and contribute to the ongoing development of our pediatric services.
About the Role
As a Pediatrician at Cross Care, you will provide comprehensive pediatric assessment, diagnosis, management and ongoing clinical support to children and young people.
You will work closely with families and our multidisciplinary team, which includes Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Behaviour Practitioners and Physiotherapists.
The role may involve supporting children with a range of developmental, behavioural and medical needs, including children with disabilities and neurodevelopmental conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive paediatric assessments and consultations.
- Assess, diagnose and manage a range of paediatric conditions.
- Monitor children's developmental, behavioural and medical needs.
- Develop appropriate management and treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents and carers.
- Work collaboratively with allied health professionals and other healthcare providers.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions where appropriate.
- Maintain high-quality clinical documentation and records.
- Provide evidence-based and family-centred care.
- Maintain professional and clinical standards in accordance with Australian requirements.
About You
We welcome applications from both Australian-based and overseas-trained Pediatricians.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- A recognised medical degree.
- Completed specialist training in Pediatrics.
- Relevant experience working as a Pediatrician.
- Strong clinical and communication skills.
- A compassionate and child-centered approach.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to high-quality, evidence-based healthcare.
For Australian-based candidates: Current AHPRA registration and appropriate specialist registration are required.
For overseas-trained candidates: You must be eligible to obtain registration with the Medical Board of Australia/AHPRA and meet the relevant specialist registration requirements. Support and guidance may be provided throughout the registration and onboarding process for suitable candidates.

Requirements
- Medical degree and specialist qualification in Pediatrics.
- Current Australian specialist registration or eligibility to obtain specialist registration.
- Current professional registration and good standing, where applicable.
- Working With Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Australian working rights or eligibility for an appropriate visa.
