About the role:
Are you passionate about financial modelling, investment analysis and influencing strategic decisions? As our
Corporate Finance Analyst, you'll play a key role in helping shape Unitywater's long-term financial sustainability by providing robust financial analysis, modelling and decision support. Working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders across the business, you'll help evaluate major investment opportunities, support pricing and funding strategies, contribute to long-term financial planning and provide insights that drive confident, evidence-based decision-making.
This is an exciting
12-month max-term opportunity due to an internal secondment, you will gain exposure to complex infrastructure, corporate finance and strategic planning activities within an organisation that supports one of Australia's fastest-growing regions.
In this role, you'll:
- Develop financial models and investment analysis that support major business, infrastructure and funding decisions across the organisation.
- Support Unitywater's long-term financial planning, helping ensure sustainable financial outcomes through forecasting, scenario analysis and strategic planning.
- Provide commercial insights and decision support, partnering with stakeholders to evaluate investment opportunities, assumptions, risks and business cases.
- Contribute to pricing and revenue strategies, supporting infrastructure funding frameworks, regulatory requirements and financial sustainability objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial tools and reporting, enhancing modelling capability, analysis, forecasting accuracy and decision-making across the business

Must have
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business, Finance or a related discipline, with CPA or CA qualification (or working towards).
- Strong financial modelling, investment evaluation and analytical skills, with the ability to assess opportunities, challenge assumptions and support business decision-making.
- Experience interpreting financial and operational data to provide meaningful insights, recommendations and commercial outcomes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and influence decision-making.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes.
- A proactive mindset, demonstrating initiative, sound judgement and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Nice to have
- Experience in corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, commercial finance or investment analysis environments.
- Experience developing financial models to support infrastructure, pricing, funding or investment decisions.
- Experience supporting long-term financial planning, forecasting, scenario modelling or business case development.
- Exposure to regulatory, pricing or revenue management frameworks.
- Experience partnering with senior leaders to support strategic decision-making and financial sustainability initiative
