Your role:
Are you passionate about supporting families and building stronger communities? Join ParentZone as a Strengthening Parent Support Coordinator and make a meaningful difference in the lives of parents and carers of children with disability, developmental delay, or neurodivergence.
In this rewarding role, you will facilitate peer support groups, provide individual parent support, deliver education sessions, and help families connect with services, information, and each other. You will also build partnerships with schools, community organisations, and professionals to strengthen support networks for families.
Lived experience of parenting a child with a disability or developmental delay would be highly advantageous.
Make your mark:
- Qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Early Childhood, Behavioural Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience facilitating groups and providing family or parenting support.
- Experience in providing individual parenting support in a sensitive and non-judgemental way.
- An understanding of the experiences and challenges of families raising children with disability, developmental delay, or neurodivergence.
- Ability to apply individual and systemic theories that underpin work with parents and children in a child-centred, family focused and strength-based framework.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and organisational skills.

- You get a salary starting at $115,339
- Salary packaging is available up to $15,900 plus an entertainment card.
- SCHCADS award level 6
- Part time, fixed term to June 30th 2027, high likelihood of extension.
- 3 days per week. 0.6. 22.8 hours (pro rata salary)
