We’re looking for an experienced Inventory & Assets Leader to join Lion in a newly created role with the opportunity to shape how we manage inventory and strategic returnable assets across our Australian logistics network.
This role goes well beyond traditional inventory management. You’ll take an end-to-end view of inventory, assets and network performance, balancing customer service, working capital, logistics cost and operational outcomes. A major focus will be Lion’s returnable asset fleet, particularly kegs and pallets as these assets play a critical role across our entire value chain.
What You’ll Do
-
Own execution of Lion’s inventory strategy across the Australian logistics network.
-
Improve inventory deployment, linehaul performance and network resilience.
-
Lead strategy and performance for returnable assets, improving utilisation, cycle time, asset life and investment decisions.
-
Strengthen inventory and asset visibility through better data, digital capability, governance and processes.
-
Partner across Supply, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Customer Service, Commercial, Finance and external partners to drive end-to-end improvement.
What You’ll Bring
You’ll bring strong supply chain experience across inventory, logistics, manufacturing or planning, ideally within a complex FMCG, manufacturing, retail or distribution environment.
You’ll also have strong analytical and commercial capability, confidence working with complex data, and the ability to influence across functions to deliver measurable improvements in service, cost, working capital and asset utilisation.
Why This Role?
This is a unique opportunity to build and shape a newly created capability with visibility across Lion’s entire value chain.
If you enjoy solving complex supply chain problems, challenging how things are done and translating data into better commercial and operational outcomes, we’d love to hear from you.
Application Closes on Friday 11th of September.
