What will you be doing?
Travel to members’ locations to complete tyre fitting, repairs and replacements
Inspect tyres and assess tread depth, pressure and overall condition
Provide professional advice and recommendations on tyre-related matters
Complete wheel balancing, tyre rotations and puncture repairs
Maintain accurate service records and update RAC systems
Ensure the service van, tools and equipment are maintained appropriately
Deliver outstanding member service in a professional and friendly manner
Work safely and follow RAC procedures at all times
What are we looking for in you?
Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology, or an equivalent recognised qualification
A Motor Vehicle Repairer’s Certificate – Tyre Fitting Light (TFL), or eligibility to obtain one
Previous experience as a Tyre Technician or in a similar automotive role
Experience fitting, repairing, balancing and rotating tyres
Strong member service and communication skills
Ability to identify tyre issues and recommend suitable solutions
High attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety
Ability to work independently in a mobile environment
A current valid driver’s licence and confidence driving a service vehicle
Training will be provided to help you become familiar with RAC systems, equipment, service standards and mobile operations.
The successful candidate will be required to satisfactorily complete RAC’s pre-employment requirements, including a pre-employment medical assessment and National Police Check.
