Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Dispatch Supervisor to assist in coordinating, directing people, and equipment logistics across all our production processes at our Capcoal Surface Operation in Middlemount, QLD.
The Dispatch Supervisor is an experienced fleet management system operator who will develop a high degree of proficiency and working knowledge of our Capcoal Surface Operation. This role will see you coordinate and direct people and equipment logistics across all production processes in order to achieve shift-by-shift production targets for volume, cost and efficiency.
As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting to effectively lead and manage production requirements and reduce lost production time through effective shift management, coordination of activities between pit supervisors, maintenance, technical services and coal handling departments and the prioritisation of resources.
You will need to understand truck shovel optimisation, draglines and the overall drill and blast process. An essential component of this role is experience using a fleet management system, exposure to Modular is favourable.
Your key responsibilities:
Ensure efficient and cost-effective mining operations by optimising the Load & Haul Cycle to reduce circuit variability, minimising Shovel Hang Time and Truck Queue.
Maintain the integrity of the fleet time usage data by monitoring and correcting FMS time usage coding in real time.
Maximise Fleet Management algorithms by running optimised in appropriate circumstances as often as possible
Use FMS Data to provide feedback to OCE/Supervisors on Operator compliance and proficiency
Perform Short-Interval Controls, and work collectively with the OCE/Supervisors to return production to planned rates
Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications or certification in a mining related discipline, and an Open Cut Examiner’s ticket will be regarded
Current supervisor competencies (S1, 2, 3 and G2) and a current Queensland Drivers licence
RIIMPO403, RIIMEX405 and RIIERR401 tickets are desired
Strong communication skills – with the ability to work well in a team environment.
Ability to undertake work activities autonomously and in accordance with standards, rules and procedures.
Previous experience in the optimisation of Fleet Management Systems.
Ability to prioritise and problem solve
Working knowledge of the Coal Mining Safety & Health Act and associated regulations and how they pertain to individual and supervisor obligations.
Excellent knowledge of mining process and systems.
Advanced understanding of the Haul Cycle and continuous improvement strategies.
