We’re looking for an experienced Cafe Supervisor / Senior Barista to take a leading role in running our busy beachside cafe at Wanda Beach.
This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys being on the floor, making coffee, leading a team and making sure the shop runs smoothly throughout the day.
About the role
You’ll be responsible for helping oversee the day-to-day running of the cafe, including:
- Leading and supporting the team during service
- Making consistently high-quality coffee
- Maintaining strong customer service standards
- Organising staff and keeping service running efficiently
- Opening and closing the cafe
- Handling cash and daily procedures
- Monitoring stock and helping with ordering
- Maintaining cleanliness, presentation and food safety standards
- Helping train and develop junior staff
- Taking ownership of the shop when the owner is not onsite
About you
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience as a cafe supervisor, shift supervisor or senior barista
- Is a confident and experienced barista
- Is comfortable leading a team in a busy environment
- Is reliable, organised and able to take initiative
- Has strong customer service skills
- Can remain calm and organised during busy periods
- Takes pride in keeping a cafe clean, organised and running well
- Is looking for a role where they can take genuine responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the shop
We’re a busy local cafe with a great customer base and a friendly team. This would suit someone who enjoys being involved in all aspects of cafe operations and wants a role with responsibility and autonomy.
Early morning availability is essential, with shifts starting from around 6:00am, so please keep this in mind before applying.
