Pocketnote Tutors is looking for passionate individuals in the Indooroopilly area, who specialise in accounting, business and economics for high school students.
Pocketnote provides 1:1 tutoring and mentoring for students in Grades 2-12 in all subjects. Our mission is to create meaningful impact in the lives of students, supporting them to improve their confidence in the classroom and beyond.
You’ll be tutoring in the student’s home and online. If you are passionate about having a positive impact on learning and self-development for students in your community, we want to hear from you!
What you can expect from us:
- Generous hourly rate with superannuation - our rates start from $40/hr for in-person sessions and $35/hr for online sessions, plus superannuation.
- Regular pay schedule - payments are made weekly for all sessions conducted the week prior, so you know how much and when you’ll be getting paid. No chasing payments!
- Flexible work - set your own schedule at the start of term, your availability for online or in-person sessions and how many students you commit to
- Ongoing support - we handle the admin, including student onboarding and payments, plus a friendly support team to help you whenever you need it
- Students looking for your support - we connect you with families. Our student numbers are growing and families are seeking reliable tutors for support
What we expect from you:
- The ability to travel to student homes in the Indooroopilly (QLD) area and surrounds
- Reliability, punctuality and an upbeat attitude
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain topics effectively
- Adaptability, to accommodate varying student learning styles and abilities
- Patience and professionalism
- The ability to commit to students for at least 6 months
- Completed high school in Australia
- A valid Blue Card or willingness to obtain one (non-negotiable)
- An ABN or willingness to obtain one (non-negotiable)
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience will be highly regarded
- Experience working with students with specialised learning needs will be highly regarded
