Hotplate Pro Wanted – Café Cook / All-Rounder
Casual Role with Full-Time Hours
Hours: Monday to Saturday (No Sundays + Every 2nd Monday off – CFMEU RDO calendar!)
Are you a gun behind the grill? Do you know your way around a flat plate like the back of your spatula? We're on the hunt for an experienced, fast-moving cook who can handle a busy breakfast and lunch trade – think burgers, egg & bacon rolls, schnitzels, toasties, and everything in between.
Who Are We?
Miras Holdings Group – a long-standing name in Melbourne's catering scene with 32+ years in the industry. We run a fast-paced, friendly café on Tier 1 construction sites around melbourne, with our current project in Balwyn North. We're looking for someone who thrives under pressure, keeps cool in a rush, and loves cooking great food for great people.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Running the hotplate with confidence – burgers, egg & bacon rolls, schnitzels.
- Preparing high-quality, consistent food in a high-volume kitchen.
- Staying cool under pressure and delivering during peak service times.
- Assisting with general food prep, stock rotation, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen.
- Jumping in where needed – we work as a team.
Non-Negotiables:
- You MUST be available Monday to Friday - Occasional Saturdays, 5:30am–2:00pm.
- NO VISA SPONSORSHIPS AVAILABLE FOR THIS ROLE!
- 1+ years experience on a flat plate grill/hot plate in a fast-paced kitchen is essential.
- No working restrictions – unrestricted working rights are required.
- Current Food Safety Supervisor (FSS) certificate or equivalent food handling certification required
- Must have full working rights in Australia
