Position Summary
Westside Meat Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Stock Clerk to maintain accurate inventory and stock-control records across its meat-processing, packaging, cold-storage and distribution operations. The successful applicant will monitor stock levels, record stock movements, assist with stocktakes and investigate discrepancies between physical and electronic inventory records.
Key Duties
· Maintain accurate stock and inventory records.
· Record movements of finished products, packaging materials, processing consumables and operational supplies.
· Monitor stock levels, reorder points and material availability.
· Assist with scheduled and unscheduled stocktakes.
· Reconcile physical stock against electronic inventory records.
· Investigate and report stock shortages, surpluses and recording discrepancies.
· Maintain batch, product-identification and traceability information.
· Record damaged, expired, rejected or quarantined products.
· Prepare stock-variance, inventory and reorder reports.
· Coordinate with warehouse, production, purchasing and accounts personnel.
· Monitor the availability of packaging and operational consumables.
· Process approved stock adjustments and maintain supporting records.
· Comply with food-safety, inventory-control, workplace health and safety and company procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have:
· A relevant AQF Certificate II or III, or an equivalent qualification; or at least one year of relevant stock-control, inventory or supply experience.
· Experience maintaining inventory records and conducting stock reconciliations.
· Familiarity with inventory-management systems and spreadsheets.
· Strong numerical, organisational and recordkeeping skills.
· Excellent attention to detail.
· The ability to identify and investigate stock discrepancies.
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
· Experience in meat processing, food production, cold storage, warehousing or supply-chain operations is desirable.
