What you'll be doing
As a Library Technician, you will play a key role in delivering contemporary library and information services that meet the evolving needs of healthcare professionals, students, researchers, patients and carers. Working across both physical and virtual environments, you will help ensure access to accurate, timely and relevant information resources.
Deliver high-quality customer service and information support through library help desk services and online channels
Build strong relationships with a diverse range of library users to understand and respond to their information needs
Assist with the development, implementation and improvement of library services, programs, procedures and events
Support the adoption and utilisation of technology and digital solutions to enhance user experience and service delivery
Monitor and evaluate services to ensure they remain contemporary, relevant and responsive to customer needs

Selection Criteria:
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member and also to work independently, able to set priorities and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated computer literacy skills, including working knowledge and understanding of library management systems including circulation, serials, acquisitions and cataloguing modules.
High level customer service skills in a library environment with demonstrated prior experience in initiating processes to ensure needs and expectations are met.
Excellent communication skills – written (reports, procedures, meeting notes), oral (basic training) and interpersonal with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
Demonstrated commitment to quality client services and staying up to date with emerging trends and new technologies, and best practice in provision of library and information services.
Demonstrated ability to liaise successfully with suppliers and other internal and external stakeholders.
Knowledge and demonstrated experience of at least three key areas of library services such as acquisitions, document delivery, serials, circulation services, reference or training.
