Metso are currently seeking an organised, reliable and experienced Finance and Office Administrator to join our team at Warabrook. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys working with numbers, staying organised and providing practical support in a busy business environment.
You’ll be responsible for a combination of bookkeeping, accounts and general administration , helping to keep the day-to-day financial and administrative functions of the business running smoothly.
About the Role
You will be responsible for a combination of bookkeeping, accounts and general office administration duties, helping ensure the day-to-day financial and administrative functions of the business run smoothly.
Key responsibilities will include:
Finance Administration
Accounts payable and accounts receivable
Bank and credit card reconciliations
Processing and coding transactions
Raising and processing invoices
Following up outstanding accounts
Maintaining accurate financial records
Data entry and record keeping
Managing emails and general correspondence
Maintaining electronic and manual filing systems and business records
Assisting with supplier and customer enquiries
Payroll Administration
Monitor employee timesheet submission and follow up outstanding or inaccurate timesheets.
Assist with payroll administration activities by ensuring timesheet accuracy and completeness prior to processing.
Upload and review timesheets into the company pay system, review and submit for approval/processing.
Office & Facilities Management
Process approved employee travel requests and coordinate travel arrangements.
Manage office supplies, stationery and purchasing requirements to maintain business operations.
Coordinate office facilities and maintenance services, including cleaners, waste management and building service providers.
Monitor and action enquiries received through shared company email accounts.
Answer incoming telephone calls and direct enquiries appropriately.
Manage uniform orders for new starters
Systems & Administration Support
Maintain accurate information across business systems and administrative databases.
Support continuous improvement of administrative processes and office systems.
Provide general administrative support to operational and leadership teams as required.
About You
We are looking for someone who is dependable, organised and takes pride in producing accurate work.
The successful applicant will ideally have:
Previous bookkeeping, accounts or administration experience
Experience with Xero accounting software
Experience with ERP systems an advantage
Experience with accounts payable and receivable
Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
Good written and verbal communication skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A high level of discretion when handling confidential information
A proactive attitude and willingness to assist wherever required
Knowledge of Australian payroll, superannuation, GST and general bookkeeping requirements is required for this role.
