Bluey’s World is seeking Suit Performers to bring Bluey and Bingo to life for our little and big guests. We are looking for performers who can capture their playful, energetic and caring nature through clear physical storytelling — all without using their voice.
Physical Requirements
· Between 155cm–165cm in height to meet character costume requirements.
· Able to create big, clear and readable movements that bring Bluey and Bingo to life.
· Physically fit and comfortable performing in costume for up to approximately 30 minutes at a time.
· Comfortable performing with costume components weighing up to approximately 8kg across the shoulders/body.
· Committed and able to maintain the strength, fitness and conditioning required for the role, including appropriate warm-ups, cool-downs, hydration and recovery.
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Performance and Professional Requirements
- Energetic, playful and confident physical performers.
- Able to adapt their performance for different guests — from high-energy interactions to smaller, gentler movements when a child may be nervous or unsure, while always keeping the character alive.
- Passionate about creating joyful and memorable experiences for children and families.
- Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining a consistently high-performance standard. Consistently arriving prepared and ready to perform.
- Strong team players who understand that Suit Performers and Chaperones work together to keep each other safe and supported both on the floor and backstage.
- Able to take direction, receive feedback and continually develop their performance.
- Remain aware of their surroundings while visibility and movement are restricted.
- Communicate promptly and effectively with their Chaperone or Leadership if they experience pain, discomfort or safety concerns.
- Follow all costume, hygiene, performance and brand requirements.

Bringing Bluey & Bingo to Life
This role is about much more than wearing the costume. We are looking for performers who understand that every movement communicates character.
Bluey and Bingo should feel playful and full of imagination. Performers need the physical awareness to know when to make movements larger and more animated, while also recognising when a little guest may need a softer and gentler interaction.
Whether dancing, posing for a photo, giving a high five or simply noticing a nervous child, the goal is always to make Bluey and Bingo feel alive, authentic and welcoming.
Required Licences
· Valid Queensland Government Blue Card for working with children.

Grade 4 – Suit Performer
Monday–Saturday: $36.81–$40.86/hr
Sunday: $51.54–$55.59/hr
Grade 2 – Photo Op Chaperone (where applicable*)
Monday–Saturday: $33.85–$37.90/hr
Sunday: $47.39–$51.44/hr
*Applicants may also be considered for Photo Op Chaperone duties. Suitability for Photo Op Chaperoning will be discussed as part of the audition process, and successful applicants may have the opportunity to pick up additional Chaperone shifts.
