Powerhouse Gym Mt Gravatt is looking for an energetic, confident and people-focused Membership Consultant – Sales & Member Experience to join our growing team.
This is much more than a traditional gym sales role.
We’re looking for someone who loves talking to people, thrives in a busy environment, takes initiative and genuinely enjoys helping people get the most out of their gym experience — from their very first enquiry through to becoming an engaged member of our community.
ABOUT POWERHOUSE GYM
Powerhouse Gym Mt Gravatt is a premium Performance & Recovery Centre offering an extensive strength and training floor, Reformer Pilates and studio classes, recovery facilities and an in-house Pro Shop.
Our focus is simple: provide an exceptional facility, exceptional service and an exceptional member experience.

THE ROLE
You’ll be one of the first points of contact for prospective members and play an important role in their journey with Powerhouse.
Your day will include:
- Responding to membership enquiries and new leads
- Booking and conducting club tours
- Understanding each prospect’s goals and recommending the most suitable membership
- Following up enquiries via phone, SMS and email
- Converting enquiries and tours into new memberships
- Completing membership administration and onboarding
- Building relationships with new and existing members
- Providing outstanding customer service
- Assisting members with membership and account enquiries
- Supporting member engagement and retention
- Maintaining accurate lead and follow-up records
- Working closely with our Membership, Operations and Customer Service teams
- Contributing to promotions, campaigns and club events
- Being actively involved in the day-to-day operation and presentation of the club
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You don’t necessarily need years of gym industry experience.
Personality, attitude and work ethic matter to us.

- Passionate about fitness, health and helping people
Previous experience in membership sales, fitness, hospitality, retail, customer service or relationship-based saleswould be highly regarded.
SALES WITH A MEMBER-FIRST APPROACH
We don’t believe in simply pushing memberships.
Great membership sales starts with listening, understanding what someone wants and showing them how our facility can help them achieve it.
You’ll need to be confident asking for the sale and motivated by results, but equally focused on making sure every person receives a professional, welcoming and genuine experience.
