Are you a passionate employment lawyer looking to make a significant impact in a supportive environment? We are seeking an experienced (5+ years PQE) Employment Lawyer to join our team, supporting one of Australia's largest and most complex workforces.
This is your chance to become a trusted advisor, exercising significant autonomy and partnering with senior leaders across the business on crucial employment law matters to drive commercial success. If you have strong experience in workplace relations, employment law advisory, managing workplace disputes and conducting litigation at the Fair Work Commission, we want to hear from you!
Strategic legal advice: Provide strategic legal advice on a broad range of employment law matters, including litigation, daily employment issues, workplace investigations, transactions, disciplinary actions, discrimination matters, safety matters, and termination issues.
Dispute resolution and litigation: Independently manage litigation matters and advise on contentious disputes involving employees and former employees. This includes appearing in, or partnering with our external law firm partners to conduct litigation in, the Fair Work Commission, anti-discrimination tribunals and Federal Courts.
Sensitive workplace investigations: Advise on sensitive workplace investigations, regulatory matters, executive employment matters, legislative reform, employment-related compliance and psychosocial risk.
Preferred Background: Significant private practice experience, ideally combined with in-house, secondment, and/or workplace relations experience.
Skills: Ability to manage a variety of stakeholders, strong litigation skills in the Fair Work Commission, handle change in a fast-paced environment, strong interpersonal and influencing skills, client and solutions-focused, motivated with a can-do attitude, and adept at multi-tasking and managing competing priorities.
