Experienced Paramedic sought for Golding’s Baralaba Mine to deliver critical emergency response, onsite medical care and safety leadership on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Brisbane.

Golding is currently seeking an experienced Paramedic to join our Safety team based at our Baralaba Mining Project.
The successful candidate will provide emergency medical support through assessment, treatment, triage and where required, evacuation from the site. The paramedic also works as an integral part of the emergency team providing response capability for the site, and supports the site Safety, Health and Environment team.
This is an 8 on/6 off rotating Day/Night roster, flights from Brisbane, accommodation included.
Key role tasks:
- Respond to mine emergencies while on shift, however out of hours calls may be required
- Manage triage and coordinate transport of non-life-threatening cases to Baralaba Hospital by QAS, where applicable
- Arrange aerial evacuation through the QAS when needed
- Undertake initial and follow-up treatment for injuries and illnesses as required, including all documentation of treatments and management of health records, as per operating procedures
- Assist the monitoring of returning injured employees through an effective rehabilitation program
- Support and contribute to the site Fitness for Work processes
- Provide subject matter expert guidance to the site on emergency management response
- Contribute to emergency management planning and risk management
- Participate in emergency response drills
- Lead training courses and sessions in first aid, medical treatment, and other health-related subjects
Key Capabilities:
- 5+ years’ experience within an advanced care paramedical role or equivalent
- Bachelor of Paramedical Science
- Experience with ERT Co-ordination, Planning and Training
- Certificate III in Emergency Mines Rescue and response or similar desirable
- Current registration with AHPRA and Paramedics Australasia
- Current Manual Driver’s License
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to obtain the approval and authorisation to administer and supply medications with external provider
- Advanced Life Support (Level 1)
- First Aid and CPR Certification
- Drug and Alcohol Testing Certificate
- Rehabilitation Coordination
