CMTL Group is building a large mechanical/SMP crew for immediate mobilisation to a with ongoing opportunities across projects on both the East and West Coasts following this scope.
FIFO mobilisation is available from major cities across Australia.

Mobilisation from 31 August / ASAP following induction.
This isn't just a short shutdown opportunity. The current scope is expected to run through to approximately late October, with potential to continue into punch-list and commissioning works, plus further opportunities across CMTL Group's project pipeline.
WHAT'S ON OFFER

DAY SHIFT – MECHANICAL/PIPEWORK CREWS/RIGGERS/SKILLED TA's/HYDRO TESTING CREWS
You'll be working with the mechanical team preparing piping systems for testing and returning systems to specification once testing is complete.
We're particularly interested in people with experience across:
- Mechanical and piping drawings
- Pipework and line preparation
- Flange management and reinstatement
- Torque procedures and bolting
- QA/QC checks
- Breaking and reinstating connections
- Punch-list works
- Commissioning support
- General mechanical/SMP works
Trade qualified? Great.
Not trade qualified but you've spent years working around mechanical pipework, flange management, testing or SMP construction? We still want to hear from you.
NIGHT SHIFT 14% loading – HYDRO TESTING CREWS/MECHANICAL/PIPEWORK CREWS/RIGGERS/SKILLED TA's/BMW
We're also building dedicated night-shift crews to undertake hydrostatic testing of piping systems.
Previous hydro-testing experience will put you in a strong position, particularly if you've worked with:
- Test packs
- Test pressures and procedures
- Hydro/test pumps
- Leak and pressure-loss identification
- Failed-test troubleshooting
- Flange management
- Mechanical reinstatement
- Pressurised piping systems
We're looking for a combination of experienced hydro-testing personnel and strong mechanical tradespeople to build capable crews.

People who can move between mechanical works, pipework, hydro testing, rigging, flange management, punch-list and commissioning activities will be particularly valuable across this project and upcoming CMTL scopes.
