Join one of Australia's leading building products manufacturers and play a key role in keeping our operations running safely, efficiently, and reliably.
At PGH Bricks, we are looking for an experienced Maintenance Planner to support our Bringelly manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on planning role where you'll work closely with maintenance, production, engineering, contractors, and suppliers to develop and coordinate maintenance activities that maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in major plant initiatives, including annual shutdowns and significant equipment upgrades planned for 2027.
Reporting to the Regional Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing preventive, predictive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance plans across the site. You'll ensure maintenance work is properly planned, scheduled, resourced, and executed while driving continuous improvement in maintenance performance and asset reliability.
About the Role:
- Develop, maintain, and optimise preventative, predictive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance plans and schedules to maximise plant reliability and minimise downtime.
- Coordinate maintenance work by planning labour, contractors, materials, tooling, permits, and critical spare parts to ensure efficient and safe execution.
- Lead the planning and coordination of major plant shutdowns, capital works, commissioning activities, and asset onboarding projects while maintaining operational continuity.
- Manage SAP maintenance systems, including asset registers, equipment hierarchies, work orders, and maintenance strategies, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
- Monitor equipment performance, analyse maintenance metrics and failure trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, productivity, and schedule compliance.
- Partner with production, maintenance, engineering, procurement, and contractor teams to align priorities, control maintenance costs, and ensure all activities meet safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
About You:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Maintenance Planner role within manufacturing, industrial processing, mining, heavy industry, building materials, FMCG, or similar environments.
- Strong understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling principles.
- Advanced SAP maintenance planning experience.
- Experience managing preventative, predictive, and shutdown maintenance programs.
- Strong understanding of maintenance performance metrics and equipment reliability principles.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience coordinating contractors and maintenance service providers.
- Strong reporting, systems, and data analysis capability.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Mechanical or Electrical Trade qualification, Diploma, or Degree in a related discipline.
- World Class Manufacturing (WCM) experience.
- Project or capital works experience.
- Experience using Microsoft Project or similar planning software.
- Continuous improvement and reliability-centred maintenance experience.
