About the Role
This role operates at the intersection of research translation, marketing and stakeholder engagement and is a key enabler of visibility, utilisation and impact for the ANFF-UOW Materials Node and the Research Infrastructure division.
Working closely with researchers, technical staff and stakeholders you will lead communications and marketing activities that showcase the Node's facilities, expertise and innovation. Through engaging content, digital communications and targeted campaigns you will promote client projects, research outcomes and infrastructure capabilities, helping to attract new users, strengthen partnerships and support the continued growth and impact of the Node.
Key responsibilities:
- Create content that showcases the Node's capabilities, projects and impact
- Manage websites, newsletters and digital communication channels
- Produce engaging photography, video and social media content
- Support reporting and promote research outcomes, new capabilities and success stories
About the Team
The ANFF-UOW Materials Node is a nationally significant research facility based at UOW's Innovation Campus. As part of Australia's leading fabrication network, and in partnership with the University of Newcastle, the Node enables cutting-edge materials research, advanced manufacturing and industry innovation.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong communications, marketing or media experience
- Excellent writing skills and an ability to tell compelling stories from complex information
- Experience managing digital channels and creating engaging multimedia content
- A proactive, collaborative approach and strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience in a research, scientific, engineering or technology environment as well as an understanding of research translation, communication and stakeholder engagement will be highly regarded

- Level 6/7: $96,898 - $119,986 plus 17% Superannuation
