Full-Time | Early Learning Centre | Bayswater
Are you an experienced Centre Director who loves building strong teams, creating meaningful relationships with families and developing a high-quality early learning service?
We are looking for a confident, hands-on and passionate Centre Director to take ownership of the day-to-day leadership of our service and work closely with our Approved Provider and management team.
This is a key leadership position for someone who is not only strong in compliance and operations, but also understands that a successful early learning centre is built through great people, strong family relationships and an excellent culture.
What You’ll Be Leading
As Centre Director, you will:
- Lead, mentor and inspire educators to create a positive and accountable team culture
- Maintain high standards across the NQF, NQS, EYLF and Child Safe Standards
- Lead the centre's QIP and continuous improvement journey
- Maintain strong compliance, documentation and operational systems
- Oversee staffing, rostering, ratios and daily centre operations
- Recruit, induct, coach and develop educators
- Support Educational Leaders and Room Leaders to strengthen educational practice
- Build genuine, trusting relationships with children and families
- Conduct centre tours and confidently communicate the value of our service to prospective families
- Drive enrolment, occupancy and family retention through excellent service and follow-up
- Develop strong connections within the local community
- Work closely with the Approved Provider on centre performance, priorities and future growth
- Create a centre environment where children, families and educators genuinely feel welcomed and valued
Who We’re Looking For
You may already be an experienced Centre Director, or a highly capable Assistant Director/2IC ready for your next leadership opportunity.
You will ideally bring:
- Diploma or higher qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Strong leadership experience within an early childhood service
- Excellent knowledge of the NQF, NQS, EYLF and National Regulations
- Strong understanding of compliance and Assessment & Rating
- Confidence leading and holding a team accountable while maintaining a positive culture
- Excellent communication with families, educators and external stakeholders
- Strong organisation and problem-solving skills
- Confidence managing challenging conversations professionally
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of occupancy and enrolment growth
- A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications, or willingness to update as required
Previous experience as a Centre Director/Nominated Supervisor and experience achieving strong Assessment & Rating outcomes will be highly regarded.
