The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (Cth) (CDPP) is seeking an experienced and motivated recruitment professional to join our team as Assistant Manager, Recruitment (Executive Level 1).
About the role
As the Assistant Manager, Recruitment, you will lead a small recruitment team and oversee the delivery of high-quality, timely and compliant recruitment services across the CDPP.
You will partner with senior leaders and key stakeholders to provide expert recruitment advice, develop sourcing and attraction strategies aligned with the CDPP Workforce Plan and Employee Value Proposition, and use workforce and candidate insights to inform recruitment approaches.
The role also has a strong focus on innovation and continuous improvement. You will lead improvements and automation of the CDPP’s e-Recruit system and identify and deliver projects that streamline recruitment processes, strengthen governance and improve the candidate and hiring manager experience.
You will provide advice on APS recruitment legislation, policy and merit-based selection principles, prepare high-quality briefs and reports for senior audiences, and manage relationships with external recruitment and assessment providers.
About you
You are an experienced recruitment professional who can balance strategic thinking with the delivery of high-quality operational recruitment outcomes.
You will bring demonstrated experience leading end-to-end recruitment in a high-volume or complex environment and a strong understanding of APS merit-based recruitment principles and relevant legislation.
You are a confident leader who enjoys coaching and developing others and can build productive relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders. You will also be adaptable, organised and solutions-focused, with strong project management skills and a genuine interest in improving the way recruitment services are delivered.
